Veda joined the Getz Lab in the fall of 2020 as an intern. Her research investigates the role of the noncoding genome in the oncogenesis and heterogeneity of glioblastomas. Veda is currently a junior at East Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina and takes collegiate mathematics and science courses. She is passionate about biology and neuroscience and plans to pursue a career in neuroscience in the future. Outside of the lab, she enjoys classical piano, painting, and mountain biking.
