Allen received his MD from the University of Melbourne and is currently an internal medicine resident at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia, with an aim to pursue hematology training. He has previously worked with Prof Alicia Oshlack at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre on ALL transcriptomics.

With the Getz Lab and the Wu Lab at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center, he is working on identifying mechanisms of extramedullary relapse of AML post-transplant. Concurrently he is completing a masters in biostatistics at Harvard University. In his free time he enjoys running, crosswords and other assorted puzzles.
